When you do devotional viewing (darshan) of God, do it with (pure) intent. When you make the effort to go and do darshan, but you do not do it with the proper intent, then it is in vain. Therefore, do darshan in this way, 'Dear God! The one residing within me is verily You. You are vitaraag (one free from all attachment and abhorrence). I am bowing down to you.' If you do darshan in this way, then God has no choice but to answer the 'phone-call'. If He does not answer, then that is His responsibility. Hence, when a real 'phone-call' comes in, then God will answer it immediately.
Param Pujya Dada BhagwanThrough the direct darshan (devotional viewing) of a living enlightened One, One can become apramatt (with constant applied awareness as the Self); whereas through indirect darshan, spiritual apathy (pramaad) arises.
Param Pujya Dada BhagwanWhen we are devotionally viewing God’s idol, what does the idol do at that time? [He says,] “All this value [that we see in God] is not mine; this value indeed belongs to your own pure Soul.” So the idol returns everything back to your pure Soul. This is called indirect worship (paroksh bhakti)!
Param Pujya Dada BhagwanAs long as one does devotional viewing (darshan) of an idol of God (murti), the state as an embodied form (murtipad) does not go away. When darshan of the amurta (the invisible One, the Self) is done, then work is accomplished.
Param Pujya Dada BhagwanWhen the entire world appears flawless, that is when liberated laughter (mukta hasya) will arise. If a fault of a single person is seen, then liberated laughter cannot arise. And our salvation happens simply through the devotional viewing (darshan) of the One with liberated laughter!
Param Pujya Dada BhagwanThe eyes of the Gnani Purush are completely pristine. It is when there is no worldly intent whatsoever that such pristineness arises. When no worldly intent remains, that is when one will be able to do darshan (devotional viewing) of the vitaraag Parmatma (absolute Self who is completely free of attachment and abhorrence) in His eyes!
