If you want to practice a worldly religion, then there are only 2 statements worth understanding: 1) Nurture the intention that no living being should be hurt by you and 2) Nurture the intention to give what you have to others. The one for whom these two intentions get fulfilled, he will have learnt all there is to learn about religion!
Param Pujya Dada BhagwanPointing out people’s mistakes, having intention to take advantage of people, keeps one bound to a worldly life (sansaar).
Param Pujya Dada BhagwanWhy does Dada get all the credit? Even though I have not done anything at all, people come and tell me, “Dada, it is only because of you that all my work got done!” Even when I deny it, they give me credit. What is this credit-bearing name-form karma (yashnaam karma)? It is the result of the intention (bhaavna). What was the intention? It was to do any kind work for the world, for people; to expend myself in doing so, to oblige others. Ultimately, even if there were no financial means, then to run errands for them.
Param Pujya Dada BhagwanWhy have idols been established? What is the intention behind this? ‘Sir, You are eternally blissful and I have temporary happiness. I, too, desire eternal bliss.’ God is eternally blissful, that is why even as an idol, He appears more attractive than us. We feel as if we just want to keep looking at Him!
Param Pujya Dada BhagwanYou have to derive the balance sheet based on the kind of intentions that are arising. If bad intentions keep arising, then understand that the time of deterioration has arrived. So at that time, at the very least, you should constrict yourself. If the intent of prevalence in impartiality (nishpakshpatipana) can be maintained, then it will do. Even in this, complete control (satta) is certainly not in your hands at all.
