There is a purpose to each and every thing that has to be done. If the purpose is that of serving others (sevabhaav), then you will definitely receive wealth (lakshmi) as a 'by-product'. Our purpose should be only this much, 'To use whatever skill/knowledge we know for the intent of serving others.'

Spiritual discourses with poor people is good, but what is the use of bad company of wealthy people?

If your monetary wealth accumulates naturally and spontaneously, then let it accumulate, but do not lean on it for support. You may take its support and feel a sense of relief, but there is no telling when that support will move away. Therefore, conduct yourself with caution from the beginning so that you are not shaken up during time of painful experiences.

Wealthy people build palaces with nine floors. At the time of their departure (dying), the palace jests with them, ‘You are going and here we remain standing!’ The palaces are not the only palaces, are they? The wife, the children – they are all palaces indeed!

What is the justice of this world like? It is that the world will call him as God (Bhagwan), the one who has no thoughts about money (wealth), no thoughts of sensual pleasures and one who remains separate from his body at all times.

If there is an essence to this wordly life, then it is the basis of honesty [morality]. If you have little wealth but have honesty even then you will attain peace. And if you do not have honesty but lot of wealth even then restlessness will remain within.
