The worldly life relationships are that of selfishness. All relationships are relative (temporary). Only the relationship with the Gnani Purush [the enlightened one] is real. He has infinite compassion for you. He has become one with his soul [atma swaroop] and therefore he brings forth all your solutions (and liberates you).
Param Pujya Dada BhagwanCompassion is an ordinary intent that is felt for everywhere in this world and it is the intent that, ‘the whole world is trapped in worldly miseries; how can their miseries be alleviated?’
Param Pujya Dada BhagwanThe One who does not become miserable upon seeing another’s misery is referred to as a vitaraag (free from attachment and abhorrence). The One who is vitaraag has compassion (karuna)! The one who feels pity for others can become miserable, the compassionate One would not do so. Pity (dayaa) is an attribute that is characterized by duality. Cruelty definitely exists on the other side of pity.
