Gnani Purush - Spiritual Master of Self Realization
Introduction to Akram Vignani Param Pujya Dada Bhagwan who got spontaneous Self Realization and had ability to enlighten another people through a scientific process called Gnan Vidhi.
It was around 6 p.m., during one evening in June 1958. Ambalal Muljibhai Patel, well-dressed with a black topi (hat), sat on a bench on platform number three at a railway station in Surat, Gujarat. The platform was bustling with people, and trains on other platforms. He had just finished his supper before sunset and was waiting for another train to take him to Vadodara. His assistant stepped away to clean the tiffin (lunch box). During this moment, a phenomenal spiritual revelation of Self knowledge naturally occurred within Him. At the end of this spontaneous internal Self enlightenment, which took about forty-eight minutes, He became Gnani Purush Param Pujya Dada Bhagwan. Dada Bhagwan, the fully enlightened Self had manifested within Him. This was the culmination of His spiritual seeking and efforts of many previous lives.
"Remarkable powers (siddhis) were instilled within me as a result of not desiring anything the world had to offer."
- Param Pujya Dadashri
During that event of Self discovery, what He saw is beyond words; and even the scriptures cannot describe it in its entirety. Answers to questions like: How the Universe functions? Who runs the world? Who is God? Who am I? On what basis do things come together? What is karma? What is liberation? were all revealed to Him. The entire world appeared completely different to Him when He could see external bodies separate from the Pure Soul within.
His words became the foundation for the new, direct, and step-less path to Self Realization called Akram Vignan. The knowledge of the Self does not exist in books. It exists in the heart of a Gnani. Thus, just as a lit candle can light another candle, this Self knowledge can only be acquired by meeting a Gnani.
